Neutral Grounding Resistor, NGR EGR

Short Description:

Neutral Grounding resistors are mainly applied to the electric power system under 110KV. One is the electric power distribution system which is composed by cable lines, with big fault capacitance and current (single-phase earthing). The other is the electric power system for electric power plant whose capacitance and current are little but to avoid the resonance. The former system is mostly low-resistance earthing, and later is high-resistance earthing. Therefore, neutral Grounding resistors are especially suitable for urban electric networks, large industry garden, electric power plant, maritime electric power distribution system and large chemical enterprises, etc.

█ Wire Diagram

The electrical connection mode between neutral point three-phase AC power grid and earth, called grounding mode for neutral point. Neutral point grounding resistor principle diagram as follows:

Neutral point of transformer, the grounding resistor has two ways:

On the secondary side the transformer is a star connection method, the neutral point grounding resistor straight. (see Figure.1)

On the secondary side the transformer is a triangle connection method, the neutral point grounding transformer grounding through grounding transformer. (see Figure. 2)
